We’ll analyse the techniques and symbolism of a range of artworks and interpret art from different cultural contexts. We’ll explore a diverse range of paintings and three-dimensional art throughout history and through to the modern day, broadening your knowledge of the visual culture of different periods. From fine art to abstract works, clay heads and everything in between, absorb the rich creative history from the past to today’s modern masterpieces. From iconic gallery works to underground art, every canvas and artefact is a new discovery. Set and reflect on ambitious goals with our support, engage in tutorial Q&A sessions, participate in an academic skills masterclass for critical thinking development, explore future career pathways through expert speakers, attend a university fair to meet representatives from various universities, and have the chance to visit different Oxford colleges for a comprehensive Oxford summer school experience.

Nestled within the University of Oxford’s most iconic colleges, including Lady Margaret Hall, New College, Somerville College, and Worcester College, students will experience life at one of the world’s top universities. Accommodation will be assigned based on room availability and the student's age group.
Learn the Oxford way with tutorial-style teaching. Your expert tutor will foster self-directed learning and critical thinking through interactive seminars in small groups (no bigger than 8). During your course, you will complete two pieces of independent work (essays or problem sheets), which your tutor will then evaluate in either a 1:1 or 2:1 tutorial. Tutorials will provide you with the opportunity to discuss your work and feedback with your tutor and learn new perspectives from your classmates. On completion of the course, you'll receive a certificate and letter of recommendation from your tutor.
