ISSET: Mission Discovery

Get ready for lift off! This summer 2023, do something extraordinary: harness the NASA ‘you can do it’ spirit and join ISSET’s Mission Discovery Summer School (for ages 14-18) at internationally-renowned King’s College London. 

If you’ve always been mesmerised by the deepest mysteries of space, Mission Discovery is a truly unique opportunity to meet and learn from real NASA astronauts, leading space scientists and passionate professors. Your mission: to design an experiment that could benefit humankind on or off the planet, with the winning experiment being built by NASA and launched to the International Space Station!

This innovative week-long course encompasses all of the STEM subjects with a particular focus on the sciences and the biomedical sector. Working with a space squad of like-minded international peers, you’ll also develop essential astronaut-worthy skills such as leadership, public speaking and teamwork, as well as bolster your UK university application and gain a huge boost to your confidence! Back down to Earth, you’ll get a taste of authentic student life at King’s College London, living on-campus in modern student halls, and enjoying group meals out in different local restaurants every evening in vibrant, multicultural London!
