Course Summary

This three-week Outdoor Leadership summer course is designed for all students, regardless of their fitness level or previous experience in outdoor activities. All of the lessons will be led by a professional in the outdoor education industry so that students of all abilities can enjoy the outdoors and gain valuable new leadership skills that will be useful in all areas of their lives. This is an elective option, taken in conjunction with a core academic option over four afternoons each week. These fun-filled and action-packed classes enable students to discover exciting new subjects, or develop existing skills while learning from an expert team of professional coaches and teachers.

What's Included?

  • ISSOS offers an all-inclusive 3-week residential stay at one of their exclusive University locations for students between the ages of 13 - 18
  • Students choose one Academic and one Elective option to pursue for their stay.
  • Everyone takes part in exciting activities, evening programmes and cultural trips.
  • Each nationality is limited to 10% of the total intake of students to ensure a truly international experience.

Academics & Extracurriculars

At ISSOS, students select one academic subject and one elective class to focus on during their three-week programme. All academic classes meet for three hours each weekday morning and are taught by highly qualified teaching staff — all experienced, working professionals in their subject areas. In the afternoons, students pursue their chosen elective, giving them the chance to explore exciting new subjects or develop existing skills while learning from an expert team of professional coaches and teachers. Places at ISSOS, both overall and within individual classes, are limited to ensure that every student feels part of the community and benefits from plenty of individual attention from their teachers.
