Summer Discovery students pursue UCLA-created curricula, learning from UCLA-selected instructors who provide an engaging academic experience. Summer Discovery’s UCLA High School Programs provide students the chance to learn from industry leaders in business and entertainment. Whether crafting a screenplay, diving into robotics, exploring fashion design, addressing climate change, pursuing sports business, or considering careers in law or medicine, students have a wide array of exciting options to choose from.
Our Middle School Programs offer a balanced daily schedule and a glimpse of college life, fostering growth and exploration. Meanwhile, the Institute for the Gifted serves students in grades four through eight, allowing them to pursue their academic passions across diverse disciplines.
Together, these programs give pre-college high school, middle school, and gifted elementary and middle school students the unique opportunity to live and learn on UCLA’s world-renowned campus.
Students in the UCLA Summer Discovery programme enjoy on-campus accommodation in university residence halls, living in a safe, supportive collegiate environment alongside their peers. Housing is included as part of the programme and comes with a baseline meal plan, giving students convenient access to meals while they balance academics, activities and free time. This residential experience lets students get a real taste of college life in one of the most dynamic university settings in the world.
