Provider Overview
Oxbridge Summer Scholars (OSS) is a two-week residential academic summer programme in Oxford and Cambridge for students aged 14–19. Designed for academically curious students from around the world, OSS combines rigorous subject exploration, university-style teaching, university preparation, and an immersive experience of student life in two of the UK’s most renowned university cities. The programme is divided into Junior (14–15) and Senior (16–19) programmes, with age-appropriate academic content and teaching approaches.
Students choose an interdisciplinary academic Stream based on their interests, allowing them to explore a range of related subjects rather than focusing on a single course. Through lectures, seminars, workshops, small-group tutorials, and independent project work, students develop critical thinking, confidence, academic communication, research skills, and independent learning.
Teaching is led by 50+ expert tutors and subject specialists from Oxford, Cambridge, and other leading UK universities, providing students with specialist knowledge, individual guidance, and insight into university-level study and their chosen fields. The Senior Programme offers a particularly intensive academic experience, while the Junior Programme provides a broader introduction to university-style learning and future academic pathways.
Alongside academic study, students take part in cultural excursions, social activities, and residential experiences designed to give them a genuine taste of university life. With an international student community and dedicated pastoral support throughout the programme, OSS brings together academic challenge, personal development, university preparation, and cultural immersion in an authentic Oxford and Cambridge summer school experience.
