Explore law, politics, philosophy and international relations through an intensive Oxford and Cambridge summer programme for ages 16–19. Debate questions of justice, power, governance and global affairs while developing critical reasoning and university-level academic skills.
The Law, Politics and International Relations Senior Programme offers an intensive interdisciplinary exploration of law, politics, philosophy and global affairs for students aged 16–19. Designed for students who enjoy questioning ideas and examining how societies and institutions work, the programme tackles some of the fundamental questions surrounding justice, power, governance and international relations.
Students study four connected areas: Law, Politics, Philosophy and International Relations. They explore how legal systems shape society, how political power operates, how philosophical ideas influence debates about ethics and justice, and how states and institutions respond to global challenges.
Through lectures, seminars, small-group tutorials and independent academic work, students are encouraged to build arguments, evaluate competing perspectives and engage critically with complex questions. The programme develops the analytical reasoning, communication and intellectual independence that underpin university-level study in the humanities and social sciences.
Teaching is led by experienced tutors and subject specialists from Oxford, Cambridge and other leading UK universities. Cultural visits, university experiences and social activities complete the residential programme, giving students an opportunity to explore their academic interests while experiencing university life and an international community.
