Question how societies are governed and how global decisions are made with an Oxford and Cambridge summer programme for ages 14–15. Explore law, politics, ethics and international relations while developing critical thinking, debate and communication skills.
The Law, Politics and International Relations Junior Programme gives students aged 14–15 the opportunity to explore the systems, ideas and debates that shape society and the wider world. Bringing together law, politics, ethics and international relations, the programme offers a broad introduction to the social sciences and humanities. Students explore questions surrounding justice, human rights, government and global affairs while considering how different institutions and systems influence the world around them.
Debate and discussion are central to the experience, encouraging students to question assumptions, consider different perspectives and build well-reasoned arguments. Through university-style teaching, students develop critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills while gaining a first insight into subjects they may wish to pursue at school or university.
Teaching is delivered by experienced tutors and subject specialists from Oxford, Cambridge and other leading UK universities. Cultural experiences, university visits and supervised social activities complement the academic programme, creating an immersive and international summer experience.
