The Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship Senior Programme offers students aged 16–19 an intensive introduction to the ideas and disciplines shaping modern organisations and the global economy. Combining Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship and Management, the programme connects academic theory with real-world decision-making and innovation. Students explore how organisations develop strategy, how markets and economies respond to changing conditions, and how new ideas can become viable ventures. The programme also examines leadership and management, helping students understand how effective organisations operate and how decisions are made. Through lectures, seminars, small-group tutorials and independent academic work, students develop strategic thinking, analytical reasoning and the confidence to evaluate complex business and economic questions. Entrepreneurial challenges encourage students to think creatively and consider how ideas can be transformed into practical solutions. Teaching is led by experienced tutors and subject specialists from Oxford, Cambridge and other leading UK universities. Cultural visits, university experiences and social activities complement the academic programme, providing an immersive residential experience for students considering future study in business, economics, management or entrepreneurship.

Can I study just one module in the stream?
No. The stream is designed to provide a comprehensive academic experience. Students engage with a wide range of subjects across all four modules, which ensures in-depth knowledge, interdisciplinary learning, and development of diverse skills tailored to their interests.

What subjects can I study?
Students choose from four academic streams: Science & Technology; Medical Sciences; Business & Entrepreneurship; and Law & International Relations. Each stream includes a variety of subjects that allow students to explore their interests and discover new areas of study.
What will students receive after the programme?
Upon successful completion of the Oxbridge Summer Scholars programme, you will be celebrated at a formal award ceremony. As a testament to your achievements, you will receive a certificate recognizing your participation and accomplishments.
What makes OSS different from other summer programmes?
Oxbridge Summer Scholars stands out for its academic intensity, intellectual breadth and immersive learning environment. The two-week programme for students aged 14–19 is divided into specialised streams, allowing each student to explore their academic interests in depth while experiencing life in one of the world’s most prestigious university settings. Each day combines a diverse range of subjects and teaching styles, led by expert tutors and academics from top UK universities. Through Oxbridge-style small-group tutorials, seminars and interactive sessions lasting up to eight hours a day, students expand their knowledge, sharpen their analytical and independent learning skills, and build a strong foundation for future university success.
How is the Junior OSS programme different from the Senior OSS Programme?
The Junior Programme differs from the Senior Programme in both structure and focus. Academic sessions run for 3–4 hours in the morning, followed by hands-on activities such as museum visits, workshops and field exploration in the afternoon. While students still learn from subject experts, the Junior Programme emphasises interest development and academic curiosity rather than in-depth subject study.
How does OSS programme prepare me for university or further study?
OSS uses an academic structure that mirrors undergraduate-level study through daily lectures and interactive seminars, small-group tutorials, and an individual research project. This approach fosters independent thinking, critical analysis and a deep understanding of complex topics. The programme’s interdisciplinary streams and expert tutors, many drawn from top UK universities, help students build a strong academic foundation and compelling academic portfolio.
Who is eligible to apply for OSS?
Applicants should be aged 14–15 for the Junior Programme or 16–19 for the Senior Programme, be current school students or on a gap year, have a good command of English sufficient for academic study and discussion, and be academically motivated. University and college students are not eligible. These requirements help ensure participants can engage comfortably with tutors and peers.
What is the application process?
Applicants complete the online application form on the OSS website, attend an interview with the admissions team, and then await confirmation and an official offer by email.
How is student safety and supervision managed?
All students are supervised 24/7 by trained OSS staff. Safety measures include secure accommodation, monitoring of student wellbeing, safeguarding policies for activities and excursions, and a curfew that ensures students are accounted for at all times. Student safety and welfare are the programme’s highest priorities.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
The enrolment fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.If you cancel more than 60 days before the programme starts – no programme fee is charged; if you cancel 31-60 days before start, you are charged 40% of the programme fee; 8-30 days before – 60% charged; 7 days or less – full fee is charged.
Will you help with a visa to attend the OSS Programme?
Oxbridge Summer Scholars does not provide visa assistance. All students are responsible for obtaining the necessary passport and visa for their chosen destination. However, once you have paid the fee in full we can provide a letter confirming your participation at OSS and your residence address during the programme. We strongly recommend that you start the visa application process at least three months before your program start date. Please consult the official government website of your destination country for specific visa requirements and procedures. Failure to comply with visa regulations and maintain required attendance can result in reporting to relevant authorities.
What level of English do I need?
Students should have a good working knowledge of English and feel comfortable communicating in academic and social settings. Since the programme is delivered entirely in English, participants must be able to follow lessons, contribute to discussions, and communicate confidently with tutors and fellow students.
