The TASIS England Summer Program is widely recognized for the quality and strength of its academic, sports, and travel programs. Each year, students are welcomed to the School’s beautiful 46-acre Surrey campus near London for a unique and educational summer. Along with a diverse range of courses from 3D Design to Sports Science, Performing Arts to STEM, the renowned summer boarding experience offers exciting sports, activities, and travel opportunities. Students choose one main course and one elective, with British Council accredited English Language classes offered at six levels. Students live on campus in supervised boarding houses, creating a safe and supportive residential community. Accommodation is typically in shared dormitory rooms, with students grouped by age and gender and supported by residential staff who provide supervision and pastoral care throughout the program. TASIS England Frequently Asked Questions
Are airport transfers provided?
Yes, students who arrive on their own by plane the day the program begins will be met by a TASIS England representative in arrivals, provided they have sent us flight details in advance and are arriving between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at either London Heathrow or Gatwick airports.
Is course insurance provided?
Yes, health insurance is included in the TASIS England Summer Program fee.
What supervision is provided?
Our dedicated team of dorm parents, counselors, school nurses, and other support staff work collaboratively to provide pastoral care, emotional support, and practical assistance to our students throughout their stay.
How many hours of tuition are provided?
Students choose one main course and one elective course for each three-week session they spend at TASIS England and classes take place Monday to Friday. Main course classes meet for 12.5 hours per week, while elective classes meet for four hours and 10 minutes per week. All students are assigned 5-6 hours of homework each week during the study period.
What visa do I need and how do I get it?
Electronic Travel Authorisations (ETAs) are being introduced worldwide for visitors to the UK. Visitors can find out when they need an ETA to travel and can apply on www.gov.uk. An ETA permits multiple journeys to the UK for stays of up to 6 months at a time over 2 years or until the holder's passport expires – whichever is sooner.
Where will I be staying / what is the accommodation like?
Living in a dorm is fun and exciting. Students find that, in addition to making new friends, living in a community atmosphere helps them to develop independence, maturity, and confidence. Boys and girls are strictly segregated, and it is TASIS England’s policy to mix nationalities and languages within individual rooms. Because of this, TASIS does not accept special roommate requests. The number of students in each dormitory depends on the size of the facility and the age of the students, as students of similar ages are grouped together. Students are encouraged to keep rooms clean and tidy, and counselors and teachers oversee daily life in the community.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes, all students who attend the TASIS England Summer Program receive a Certificate of Attendance, along with a report card for the two courses they have taken.
