St Clare’s, Oxford Summer School for Teenagers offers a diverse selection of academic and English language courses for students aged 15-17. Programs include Interactive English, Intensive English Exam Preparation, IB Introduction, Business & Entrepreneurship, Art and Digital Design, Science & Experiments, and Project Eco-innovation. With a focus on academic support and pastoral care, students enhance their language skills, vocabulary, fluency, and accuracy through a flexible 2-3+ week course structure available in June, July, and August.

Set in the historic city of Oxford, the summer school provides an inspiring environment where lessons are engaging and enriched by weekly themes and guest speakers. With students from over 45 countries, the programme offers a vibrant international community set on its own IB World School campus in North Oxford. The campus comprises several buildings and features well-equipped science labs, an art studio, modern teaching spaces, and a large library. Located within walking distance of both Summertown and Oxford city centre, it provides the perfect setting to experience living and studying in Oxford. Students can choose to stay in one of our college residences or with a trusted Englishspeaking homestay provider, depending on their preference for independence or a more immersive cultural experience. Our residential houses offer: • A single, twin or triple room, with shared or ensuite bathrooms • Sociable communal spaces, including common rooms, small kitchens, and outdoor green spaces • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner available in the dining hall • Boys and girls live separately Living with a homestay provider includes: • A single room with a shared or private bathroom • Breakfast and dinner provided daily at the homestay, lunch served in the dining hall • A homestay provider for student welfare and support • The chance to practise English daily and experience the life and culture of modern Britain firsthand All accommodation includes bedding, towels, access to laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi.

Are airport transfers provided?

Is course insurance provided?

What supervision is provided?
Juniors are monitored closely on a secure campus. Older Teenagers and Adults are issued with a photo ID card that is needed to access any of our College buildings and residences. A team that includes Teachers, House Parents, Activity Leaders and a Nurse led by our experienced Course Director and Welfare Manager is available 24/7 to supervise students under 18 years of age.
How many hours of tuition are provided?
Juniors – 16.5 hours per week Teenagers – 19.25 or 22.9 hours per week Adults – 13.75 or 19.25 hours per week
What visa do I need and how do I get it?

Where will I be staying / what is the accommodation like?
- Juniors aged 9-12 – dormitories of 4-6 students at the Headington Rye Prep School campus - Juniors aged 13-15 – single or twin rooms at the Headington Rye Prep School campus - Older teenagers stay in a shared residential room near the main College buildings at 139 Banbury Road - Adults have a choice of single or twin rooms at 3 Bardwell Road or 382 Banbury Road
Will I get a certificate?
Student will receive a certificate from St Clare’s and a personalised report at the end of the course.
