Q: Are airport transfers provided?

Travel to and from the programme is not included in the participation fee. However, we offer shared airport transfer service options for all our programmes. Please find more information on airport transfers here

Q: Is course insurance provided?

Programme insurance is not included in the standard participation fee. However, we do offer additional comprehensive summer school insurance for any programme you choose. Our programme consultants are happy to provide more information during a complimentary consultation

Q: What supervision is provided?

Students are supervised by their subject tutor during class times, and by dedicated mentors during their free time. Students will be part of a mentor family, which is a group of around 7-10 participants attending the programme in the same college but studying a variety of subjects. They are led by their mentor, a current undergraduate at the host university, who is there to answer any questions they may have about the programme or life at university. Mentors form the core of our pastoral care and are on hand to help participants throughout the programme.

Q: How many hours of tuition are provided?

We offer two types of programmes: - Academic Insights – includes 40 hours of tuition over two weeks, combining theory- and practical-based sessions, workshops, guest speaker events, and one-to-one tutorials. Class sizes are small, with an average of 7 students. - Career Insights – includes 45 hours of tuition over two weeks, with a focus on applied learning through classes, workshops, individual coaching sessions, and industry field visits.

Q: What visa do I need and how do I get it?

Depending on the country you are travelling from and the location of your chosen programme, you may need a visa. Please check the specific entry requirements for each destination where Immerse programmes are held: - Singapore: Do I need a visa to attend Immerse in Singapore? - Canada: Do I need a visa to attend Immerse in Canada? - USA: Do I need a visa to attend Immerse in the USA? - UK: Do I need a visa to attend Immerse in the UK? - Australia: Do I need a visa to attend Immerse in Australia?

Q: Where will I be staying / what is the accommodation like?

Students typically stay at a host university campus or one of its colleges. However, accommodation facilities vary by programme and location. The best way to get an accurate idea of what to expect is to check the FAQs for a specific programme and location

Q: Will I get a certificate?

Yes, all participants receive a certificate of completion and a detailed personal evaluation written by their tutors.

Program Summary

Immerse Education’s London Summer School offers two distinct pathways for students aged 15–18: Academic Insights, featuring subject-focused, university-style study, and Career Insights, providing hands-on career exploration. Each pathway includes over 40 hours of tuition led by leading university academics and industry experts.

Academic Insights delivers in-depth content across subjects like Law, Mathematics, and Engineering, while Career Insights emphasizes real-world applications through workshops, projects, and industry visits. Both pathways foster deep learning and practical experience.

Based at University College London (UCL) and housed in the award-winning Astor College, students stay in single rooms with shared facilities, just minutes from The British Museum, The British Library, and Covent Garden. The programme features communal lounges, games areas, study spaces, and a rich cultural and social schedule, offering an immersive London experience that builds knowledge, skills, and confidence.

An Experience of a Lifetime

an amazing experience

The mix of an amazing location, interesting people, and an engaging course created an unforgettable experience. Everyone got a chance to meet and bond with all the participants. I do have one remark and that is that our free time was rather limited, we did not have a lot of time to go explore Cambridge on our own or with our friends as most of our time was used for activities. However, these activities were often fun and gave us more opportunities to create better friendships with everyone.

The best experience

From the beginning everything was organised in amazing way. The people were so nice, kind and helpful. Staying in Sidney Sussex was also one of the things I enjoyed so much during my trip. I wish it was longer.
