FAQ's

Reach Cambridge Frequently Asked Questions
Are airport transfers provided?
Yes, we offer transfers to and from Heathrow Airport at a slight extra cost. The cost is £95 each way, or £190 for a return transfer.
Is course insurance provided?
Yes, international student travel insurance is included as part of the program price.
What supervision is provided?
We offer 24 hour supervision. Our supervisors stay residentially in the dorms with the students, and are always there if students have any questions. We provide students with emergency contact details, and have a sign-in/sign-out system for when they have free time.
How many hours of tuition are provided?
We have 4 hours of tuition per non-excursion day, for a total of 36 hours over each two-week program.
What visa do I need and how do I get it?
Travellers from some countries will require a visa in order to visit the UK. If a visa is required, Reach Cambridge programs last less than six months, so our students are eligible to apply for a Standard Visitor visa. Reach Cambridge is accredited by the British Accreditation Council, which means that we can supply you with a letter to support your Standard Visitor visa application. For further information, please visit this link from the UKVI website (United Kingdom Visas and Immigration): https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration.
Where will I be staying / what is the accommodation like?
Reach Cambridge students experience a real taste of student living in one of the world’s most famous and historic university cities. All students reside in college accommodation of one of the 31 colleges that make up the University of Cambridge. Students are accommodated in same-sex dormitories of single or shared rooms. All students have access to en-suite or shared bathroom facilities. Students are grouped on their corridor or staircase with others of the same gender and a similar age, but a diverse mixture of courses and nationalities, allowing them to make friends from across the world!
Will I get a certificate?
All students receive a Reach Cambridge certificate at the end of the program. This contains an overview of the course and some suggested further reading so the learning journey can extend beyond the summer. This may or may not be sufficient to earn you a Credit (check with your school in advance), but could certainly be mentioned in application to university.
