The students will work on their projects, under their supervisors, during morning class time and, as the program progresses, several afternoons will also be set aside to enable them to complete their projects. The results will be presented, conference-style, to the team. Research projects might include building an AI chatbot, designing to compensate for bias, designing AI to make it accessible. Alternatively, they might consider papers on issues such as why AI is considered biased, or can machines make art, or why Is AI better at diagnosing disease than doctors? Naturally, wherever possible, our supervisors will do their best to accommodate specific interests.
