Psychology, Marketing & Leadership

Course Summary

Explore what drives human behaviour and how it shapes the world around us. This course invites students to delve into the psychology of decision-making, the power of communication, and the foundations of purposeful leadership. Perfect for those interested in understanding people, ideas, and influence.

Over two weeks, students explore core themes in behavioural psychology, consumer behaviour, branding, and leadership. From emotional intelligence and team dynamics to persuasion and storytelling, you’ll uncover how influence works and how to use it ethically and effectively. Students will be taught in small groups by passionate, knowledgeable staff. Lessons blend seminars, workshops, and team-based challenges, encouraging students to apply theory to practical contexts: designing marketing campaigns, analysing leadership styles, and reflecting on their own communication strengths. Beyond the classroom, students will enjoy a wide range of extracurricular activities that run from morning to night - from lively evening socials to moments of quiet reflection. They’ll hear from inspiring guest speakers, visit another university campus, take part in multiple excursions across the UK designed to complement both the academic and cultural experience, and engage in shared activities with peers from around the world. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the historic city of Bath, discovering its heritage from Roman bathhouses to elegant Georgian crescents. Students will stay in premium, en-suite university accommodation and use professional-standard teaching spaces, from engineering labs and design studios to bright, purpose built lecture halls. Just a stones throw away from the city centre, the campus is set on 200 acres of parkland with panoramic views over the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath.
