IB Introduction (13-15)

Junior residential packages include transfers to and from London Heathrow, including assisted check-in. Teenager and adult airport transfers are not included and must be booked separately using the relevant pre-arrival information page on the St Clare’s website.

English-language courses generally require CEFR A2 or above. Exam-preparation courses require at least B1. Most specialist academic courses require B2. Requirements vary by course, so check the individual course record.

Juniors stay on a secure residential campus in multi-bed rooms for younger students and single or twin rooms for older students. Teenagers can stay in St Clare’s residential houses, at Wychwood during July, or with a local homestay provider; rooms may be single, twin or triple. Adults can choose a college residence with self-catering facilities or a local homestay.

Juniors are closely supervised on a secure residential campus. Students under 18 receive 24-hour welfare support from residential, teaching, activities and nursing staff. Teenager residences have House Parents and age-appropriate curfews. Adult residences have on-site Residence Managers and welfare support.

Juniors receive 18 lessons, totalling 17 hours, per week. Teenager courses provide either 21 lessons (19 hours) or 25 lessons (23 hours) per week, depending on the course. Adult English for Life Mornings provides 15 lessons (13.75 hours); courses with an afternoon elective total 21 lessons (19.25 hours).

Students receive a St Clare’s course certificate and a personalised report at the end of their course.
