Course Summary
From elocution to forming a convincing argument, this course provides students with a practical and diverse range of public speaking skills. Classwork focuses on preparing and presenting regular debates on a variety of topics related to New York and the United States. The course culminates in a formal debate judged by a panel of professionals.
Oxbridge in New York takes place at Barnard College, an independent liberal arts college established in 1889 and affiliated with Columbia University since 1900.

Accommodation
In New York, students live in rooms that are occupied by undergraduates during the year. Students are housed in single or double rooms and have access to shared facilities.
Tuition
Students on the Oxbridge in New York program choose one Major course and one Workshop course to study for the month. Popular courses include Creative Writing, Finance and Business, and Musical Theater.
Extracurricular Activities
Every class is designed to use New York as a teaching tool. When not in class, students can take part in the activities planned by the program, whether it be attending a Major League Baseball game, visiting Coney Island, or going to see a Broadway show.
