Journalism at ISSOS gives students the knowledge and skills that they need to effectively use the power in their words to tell impactful stories that can educate, inform and entertain others.

This summer Journalism programme gives budding journalists an insight into the exciting world of the media and they will leave with knowledge of a wide variety of areas of modern journalism, covering everything from reporting and current affairs to designing pages for publication. Students taking this academic course should have English language of level B2 or above. Please make enquiry if you are unsure about language level suitability for this class.

FAQ's

Where will I be staying?

Students stay in university halls of residence in an area exclusive to ISSOS. Rooms are shared or single, with shared rooms being allocated based on age, sex, and nationality.

How many hours of tuition are provided?

The program provides over 80 hours of tuition, with 45 hours for academics and 36 hours for electives.

What level of English do I need?

The required English level is A2 for students taking English Language classes or B2 for all other classes.

What supervision is provided?

Students are placed in groups with a counselor who looks after their welfare throughout the program. Counselors wake students up, accompany them to breakfast, and walk them to classes. There is also a curfew and lights out time.

Are airport transfers provided?

Yes, ISSOS offers a transfer service from designated airports.

Is course insurance provided?

Medical insurance is provided for all students. For students traveling to the UK, travel insurance is also provided.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, all students receive a certificate of completion and a full academic report.

What visa do I need?

ISSOS provides visa support letters for students who need them. Students are responsible for applying for the appropriate visa and any other necessary travel documentation. Since ISSOS courses are not for credit, tourist visas are sufficient.
