Course Summary
Step into the heart of global finance in New York, home to Wall Street and the world’s largest financial institutions. Immerse Education’s Banking & Finance summer programme for students aged 15-18 offers an in-depth exploration of investment banking, financial markets, and global economics.
With insights into the fast-paced world of finance from a New York perspective, students will develop the analytical skills and financial knowledge necessary to thrive in the industry. Learn more below to see how New York can shape your future in banking and finance.
Course Highlights
- Complete modules including Financial Markets and Investments and Risk Management in Banking. Learning happens in project-based sessions, career skills sessions, industry visits and 1:1 tutoring. The Graduation Ceremony and Dinner to complete the Career Insights course will be an elegant celebration of achievements. Beyond the classroom, participants have the chance to explore the vibrant city of New York and its iconic landmarks. Visits to renowned museums, as well as historic sites such as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island offer a glimpse into America’s past. Get creative with cake and canvas, enjoy sports and a picnic in Central Park, experience a Broadway show, and showcase your talents at the talent show.

You’ll study key topics such as financial markets, investment banking, risk management, and global economics. The course covers how financial institutions operate, how investments are managed, and how economic decisions affect global markets. You’ll also explore the role of ethics in finance and how regulations impact the financial industry worldwide.
All participants will live in comfortable student accommodation at their chosen venue, in clean rooms and with adequate supervision. Where multiple campuses may be available (such as in Oxford or Cambridge), students will be allocated to a college a few weeks before arriving, based on their dates and subject choice.

We are delighted to offer all enrolled participants comprehensive summer school insurance for their chosen academic summer programme. This is included in the participation fee and is provided by Endsleigh Insurance. Learn more at https://www.immerse.education/programme-insurance/
Students will be supervised by their subject tutor during classtimes, and by mentors during their free time. Students will be part of a mentor family. A mentor family is a group of around 10 participants attending the programme in the same college but studying a variety of subjects. They are led by their mentor, a current undergraduate, who is there to answer any questions they may have about the programme or life at university. Mentors form the core of our pastoral care and are on hand to help participants throughout the programme. Participants will be sent an invitation to their mentor family group chat a few days before their programme is due to start, to introduce themselves and get to know each other before the programme begins.

I really enjoyed the activities like casino night and werewolve. And I also really liked the practical sessions in class. The mentors were also very welcoming and nice to be around like annika, dami and robert. Also i really liked the tours and when we went to cambridge and oxford. Overall, I really like the fact that there was a balance between learning and fun.
The best part of my experience at immerse was the people. Everyone I met - mentors, professors, other students - were all so supportive, kind, and helpful. I was initially worried to be in a completely new environment alone but these people made this experience an amazing one I will never forget!
