Course Summary

This course is designed for young, motivated students who want more than just English language tuition from their summer. Students who have an interest in Performing Arts will have the opportunity to develop their skills through practical workshops delivered by our partners West End on Demand.

The Performing arts workshops play a significant role in developing a child’s creativity, confidence, coordination, language and communication skills to help a student develop and reach their full potential in education and beyond. In addition to the performing arts workshops the course aims to develop English language skills through a variety of engaging sessions, including academic tutorials, group projects, conversation classes, and hands-on excursions that take learning outside the classroom.

Our course also builds strong interpersonal skills such as teamwork, creativity, and confidence through project-based learning and mentorship.

Student progress is tracked and assessed at the end of each course by Bucksmore Assessment, an evaluation tool developed in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scale.

What's Included?

Weekly excursions 2 full days and 1 half day
20 hours per week
Course fees are all-inclusive airport transfers, insurance, meals, entrances to attractions, academic materials, so the only additional costs should be flights and spending money.

Accommodation

You’ll be staying OIC Brighton, a beautiful, green and leafy private campus, with all meals and accommodation, classrooms and activities in the same place. OIC Brighton is a 10-minute coach ride from Brighton and we often take your child there on excursions.

Tuition

Aside from the all-important academic side of life at Bucksmore Education, all programmes are designed to ensure cultural enrichment and a large dose of fun! Students partake in a range of events, on-campus sports and activities, as well as exciting excursions to popular UK cities and tourist landmarks. You might explore London's famous sights such as Big Ben and the London Eye, experience a private tour of Oxford or Cambridge University, or enjoy a quintessentially British seaside experience!

Gain an introduction into a specialist subject via scheduled weekly workshops • Develop main key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as lexical resource, grammatical structures and pronunciation • Build confidence in communicating in English inside and outside the classroom • Improve exam techniques and skills through specific academic skills sessions and assessment • Realistic determination of English ability using the bespoke Bucksmore Assessment.
