Course · Atlas Summer Courses

What gives a leader influence, and how should that influence be used? Leadership with Atlas Summer Courses is for ages 18–24 in Oxford. Students examine leadership theory, emotional intelligence and ethical decision-making. They explore responsibility, influence and self-awareness, considering how to assess competing arguments and make balanced choices.
Seminars, independent research and two assignments encourage deeper enquiry, while individual or paired tutorials provide detailed feedback and opportunities to defend and refine ideas. Tutors adapt the content to the group’s interests rather than following a fixed syllabus.
Students aged 18–24 develop their ideas in small-group seminars and complete two independent assignments, such as essays or problem sheets. Their tutor reviews this work in an individual or paired tutorial, providing detailed feedback and discussion.
