Course · Atlas Summer Courses

What explains the remarkable variety of life and the ways organisms survive? Biology with Atlas Summer Courses is for ages 13–15 in Oxford. Students investigate how living organisms function, grow and evolve. Depending on the tutor’s specialism, topics may include cells, anatomy, ecology, plant science or zoology, explored through discussion and practical examples.
Guided small-group classes combine discussion, practice tasks and opportunities for independent research, helping students develop ideas and learn from different perspectives. Tutors adapt the content to the group’s interests rather than following a fixed syllabus.
Students aged 13–15 learn in small groups with guidance from their tutor. They practise new concepts through discussion and tasks, with opportunities for group work and independent research. Homework is discussed in class.
