Course Summary
Discover the world of architecture and design in London, a global capital renowned for its architectural diversity and innovation. Immerse Education’s Architecture & Design summer programme for students aged 15-18 explores key design principles, urban planning, and sustainable architecture.
Through interactive workshops and site visits to iconic London landmarks, participants will gain practical skills and insights into the architectural profession, preparing them for future studies and careers in architecture and design. Course Highlights
- Complete modules including Interior Design and Free-Hand Architectural Design. Learning happens in project-based sessions, career skills sessions, industry visits and 1:1 tutoring. Career Insights participants in London will stay at UCL’s award-winning accommodation, ideally located with iconic London sights in every direction. The Graduation Ceremony marks the completion of your Career Insights course. This event will be an elegant celebration of achievements. Participants of the London Career Insights course can enjoy a variety of cultural activities, excursions, and sports. Expect visits to landmarks like the British Museum and Tate Modern, boat rides on the Thames, and trips to the Tower of London. Situated between Bloomsbury and Kings Cross, our prime location allows us to explore industry hubs throughout the city and enjoy its exceptional food, culture, and history.

More Information
You’ll explore topics such as sustainable design, urban planning, architectural theory, and the role of architecture in solving global challenges. The course also introduces you to key design principles, materials science, and how architects use creativity and problem-solving to create functional, beautiful spaces.
All participants will live in comfortable student accommodation at their chosen venue, in clean rooms and with adequate supervision. Where multiple campuses may be available (such as in Oxford or Cambridge), students will be allocated to a college a few weeks before arriving, based on their dates and subject choice.

We are delighted to offer all enrolled participants comprehensive summer school insurance for their chosen academic summer programme. This is included in the participation fee and is provided by Endsleigh Insurance. Learn more at https://www.immerse.education/programme-insurance/
Students will be supervised by their subject tutor during classtimes, and by mentors during their free time. Students will be part of a mentor family. A mentor family is a group of around 10 participants attending the programme in the same college but studying a variety of subjects. They are led by their mentor, a current undergraduate, who is there to answer any questions they may have about the programme or life at university. Mentors form the core of our pastoral care and are on hand to help participants throughout the programme. Participants will be sent an invitation to their mentor family group chat a few days before their programme is due to start, to introduce themselves and get to know each other before the programme begins.

I really enjoyed the activities like casino night and werewolve. And I also really liked the practical sessions in class. The mentors were also very welcoming and nice to be around like annika, dami and robert. Also i really liked the tours and when we went to cambridge and oxford. Overall, I really like the fact that there was a balance between learning and fun.
The best part of my experience at immerse was the people. Everyone I met - mentors, professors, other students - were all so supportive, kind, and helpful. I was initially worried to be in a completely new environment alone but these people made this experience an amazing one I will never forget!
The best decision ever!!!I am glad that I decided to do a medical course with Immerse Education. I learnt so much in 2 weeks and I can truly say that I will never forget this experience.
