STEM Pioneers

From exploring how machines work to designing creative solutions, students will build confidence in problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation. They’ll develop foundational skills in engineering, sustainability, physics, and basic coding through hands-on, age-appropriate projects that make technology engaging and accessible. The course emphasises skill-building through action, using design thinking, collaboration, and reflection to help students grow into confident learners and creative thinkers. Students are introduced to key concepts through hands-on, engaging, structured sessions that build confidence, collaboration and early subject understanding. Lessons will include practical tasks in areas such as design, robotics and basic programming to enable students to build curiosity, collaboration and confidence. Beyond the classroom, students will enjoy a wide range of extracurricular activities that run from morning to night - from lively evening socials to moments of quiet reflection. They’ll hear from inspiring guest speakers, visit a private school, take part in multiple excursions across the UK designed to complement both the academic and cultural experience, and engage in shared activities with peers from around the world. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the historic city of Bath, discovering its heritage from Roman bathhouses to elegant Georgian crescents. Students will stay in premium, en-suite university accommodation and use professional-standard teaching spaces, from engineering labs and design studios to bright, purpose built lecture halls. Just a stones throw away from the city centre, the campus is set on 200 acres of parkland with panoramic views over the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath.
