You’ll explore core areas such as calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, and probability theory. The programme challenges you to think critically and creatively about how mathematics underpins fields ranging from engineering and economics to computer science and cryptography. With seminars, problem-solving workshops, and a personal project, you’ll gain academic depth while preparing for future studies.
Beyond academic study, participants enjoy a diverse programme of cultural, social, and active experiences. Explore Boston’s rich history with visits to landmarks such as the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, and Harvard Square. Take part in unique local activities, from rowing on the Charles River to attending a Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park. Social events such as theatre outings, quiz nights, and talent shows provide opportunities to relax and connect with new friends. Inspiring guest speaker sessions and fireside chats add depth to the experience. Students may also join visits to the campuses of Harvard University and MIT, gaining insight into two of the world’s most prestigious centres of learning.
Students will stay in secure, comfortable college-style residences at Suffolk University, close to the city’s historic centre. The accommodation offers twin rooms with Wi-Fi access and shared communal areas. Male and female participants are housed separately. Meals are provided in the university’s dining halls, with a variety of options available to suit all tastes. Living at Boston University allows participants to experience student life in one of America’s most historic and vibrant academic cities, with easy access to both Boston landmarks and the nearby campuses of Harvard and MIT.

Immerse Education Frequently Asked Questions
Travel to and from the programme is not included in the participation fee. However, we offer shared airport transfer service options for all our programmes. Please find more information on airport transfers here
Programme insurance is not included in the standard participation fee. However, we do offer additional comprehensive summer school insurance for any programme you choose. Our programme consultants are happy to provide more information during a complimentary consultation
Students are supervised by their subject tutor during class times, and by dedicated mentors during their free time. Students will be part of a mentor family, which is a group of around 7-10 participants attending the programme in the same college but studying a variety of subjects. They are led by their mentor, a current undergraduate at the host university, who is there to answer any questions they may have about the programme or life at university. Mentors form the core of our pastoral care and are on hand to help participants throughout the programme.
We offer two types of programmes:
- Academic Insights – includes 40 hours of tuition over two weeks, combining theory- and practical-based sessions, workshops, guest speaker events, and one-to-one tutorials. Class sizes are small, with an average of 7 students.
- Career Insights – includes 45 hours of tuition over two weeks, with a focus on applied learning through classes, workshops, individual coaching sessions, and industry field visits.
Depending on the country you are travelling from and the location of your chosen programme, you may need a visa. Please check the specific entry requirements for each destination where Immerse programmes are held:

Students typically stay at a host university campus or one of its colleges. However, accommodation facilities vary by programme and location. The best way to get an accurate idea of what to expect is to check the FAQs for a specific programme and location
Yes, all participants receive a certificate of completion and a detailed personal evaluation written by their tutors.
My time at Immerse Education was enjoyable! I got to learn new concepts and enhance my previous knowledge regarding my area of interest. I would definitely repeat this experience and encourage you to enroll!
Being able to learn new cultures. Make new friends and increase my knowledge on Engineering. I also picked u new habits which are good for my mental and physical well-being. This was an experience I will never forget and I will definitely be doing it again.
The best part of my experience at immerse was the people. Everyone I met - mentors, professors, other students - were all so supportive, kind, and helpful. I was initially worried to be in a completely new environment alone but these people made this experience an amazing one I will never forget!
The mix of an amazing location, interesting people, and an engaging course created an unforgettable experience. Everyone got a chance to meet and bond with all the participants. I do have one remark and that is that our free time was rather limited, we did not have a lot of time to go explore Cambridge on our own or with our friends as most of our time was used for activities. However, these activities were often fun and gave us more opportunities to create better friendships with everyone.
The whole camp was well organized with fun activities that engaged every student, interactive lessons and great mentors! The food was always good and every participant felt comfortable and safe.
