Course Summary

Bucksmore English aims to build strong fluency and enhance English oral and written communication skills through a fun and dynamic language curriculum.

Students develop their English skills through a variety of engaging sessions, including academic tutorials, group projects, conversation classes, and hands-on excursions that take learning outside the classroom.

Our course also builds strong interpersonal skills such as teamwork, creativity, and confidence through project-based learning and mentorship.

Student progress is tracked and assessed at the end of each course by Bucksmore Assessment, an evaluation tool developed in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scale.

  • The Bucksmore English summer school was created in the 1990s by legendary British Educationalist, Michael Reiser
  • It was modelled on American summer camps, with ‘Counsellors’ who live with students, teach lessons and lead excursions and activities, providing a higher level of pastoral care, guidance, and friendship – giving students more than just ‘teachers’ and ‘activity leaders’ at a summer school
  • To this day, we keep to these same principles, because they create the most incredible relationships and connections and ensure your child comes away with the most memorable of experiences and a network of friends from around the world

What's Included?

  • Weekly excursions 2 full days and 1 half day
  • 20 hours per week
  • Course fees are all-inclusive airport transfers, insurance, meals, entrances to attractions, academic materials, so the only additional costs should be flights and spending money.

Academics & Extracurriculars

Develop main key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as lexical resource, grammatical structures and pronunciation • Build confidence in communicating in English inside and outside the classroom • Improve exam techniques and skills through specific academic skills sessions and assessment • Realistic determination of English ability using the bespoke Bucksmore Assessment
