Tuition
Students choosing University Subject Exploration (USE) have the opportunity to explore four popular degree subjects in depth over the programme. Rather than focussing on one subject, USE (Biomedical Sciences) allows students to sample a wide range of academic options, hopefully allowing them to leave Oxford with a much better idea of what they want to study at university. Tuition is based on first-year undergraduate content in each subject and students are taught in seminars / workshops in small groups of no more than 8 students (likely 4-5 in most classes). As well as the degree subject teaching, workshops are offered on university applications and guest speakers are invited each week to provide students with a university lecture experience.
Extracurricular Activities
Outside of classes and studying, students enjoy a packed social programme on campus and around Oxford, shared with all students on Leading Education programmes. As well as the on-site and Oxford based activities - including the classic punting trips and visits to world famous locations like Christ Church College and the Ashmolean Museum - three full-day excursions are included every two weeks, with an additional half-day trip over the middle weekend for any student staying for 4 weeks.
