Course Summary
Perfected since 1979, Bucksmore Summer combines varied English language lessons in small classes of no more than 11 students with a well-rounded social programme. It is ideal for students on their first trip away from home and those looking for more attention than a typical summer camp.
Designed to help students communicate confidently in English, the dynamic syllabus is created by Bucksmore’s Academic team specifically for juniors in a summer school environment and is suitable for all levels from beginner to proficient.
Away from the classroom, a strong emphasis is put on providing students with a truly memorable experience, with an action-packed activity and excursion programme including trips twice a week to top UK destinations such as London, Windsor and even a theme park!
The course is available at either King Edward’s School (ages 10-13) or Plumpton College (ages 10-16). King Edward’s School is a prestigious boarding school with excellent on-site facilities including modern classrooms, a dance studio, and all-weather pitches across the 100-acre site. It is located in a quiet countryside village just over an hour’s drive from central London, providing an ideal location for young summer school students.
Plumpton College is an amazing location at the foot of the South Downs and only 20 minutes away from the seaside town of Brighton. The College is an agricultural college during the academic year and as such it has a working farm; an Animal Care Centre; stables including one of the best horse-riding schools in the country; and beautiful grounds which can be used for outside activities.
